    The site-specific obstacles ranged from contamination, old dock wall obstructions, dealing with local authorities on the river frontage to coordinating substructure design, which had to incorporate the existing Northern Bore of the Blackwall Tunnel.

This was the first phase of award winning development built between 2001 and 2004 designed by Skidmore Owens and Merrill Architects for Ballymore consists of private and affordable blocks cleverly designed in a mixed used development. Future phases consist of hotel and further residential towers on a 3.3-hectare site in the Isle of Dogs, East London.
